Mini Core Group Reunion

This week Ben and I were very lucky to be visited by two of the original core group members (Alison Lorraine and Emma Butler), an associate core group member (Aaron Butler), two core group mums (Christine and Molly) and a core group pip squeak (Toby Butler). The core group was initially formed at uni when seven like minded people banded together and decided to be 'best friends'. Not only was this socially advantageous it also helped all of us pass assignments and exams. It's amazing how much easier uni can be when you only do 1/7th of the work. Al and Emma were back in town for a wedding but had time to come and visit Ben and I. It's not so easy to catch up when you have little ones. But Al and I did find the time to discuss the notion of 'best friends'. I also found out that Emma has developed an obsession with pastries and baked goods. Since I saw Emma this week I've been thinking about uni and I’ve started to recall early signs of this obsession. I remember asking Emma if she'd like to share a croissant with me (we were up at some ridiculous hour to watch the sun rise at Strzlecki Lookout - for Al's birthday I think). Emma was NOT keen to share saying" No - I want a whole one!!!". There was only one left.
